Description:
Crookhaven is one of my favourite spots on the West Cork coastline, and this is my favourite view of it. Made while out with a workshop student, it is virtually a carbon copy of my earlier composition - Crookhaven Peninsula - but what a difference the time of day makes!
The original photograph was made a few years before just after dawn broke, on a stormy day. This was made on a calm evening about an hour after sunset.
The exposure time was 30 seconds, as the scene was obviously quite dark. The yellowish streak is a car leaving the village.
