Description:
This black and white image was made on a camera modified to take photographs in the near-infrared. This image was made at the same time as To Sybil Point.
Made from the summit of Cruach Mhartain, one of the most westerly peaks in the country, Smerwick Harbour juts inland through the gap between the Three Sisters (out of frame to the left) and Ballydavid Head.
Isolated patches of sunlight illuminate the town of Ballydavid and the slopes of Brandon Mountain, wreathed in cloud to the right of the frame.
