Antrim
The Antrim coast has a way of making you feel very small. Those basalt columns at the Giant's Causeway, the sheer cliffs at Fair Head, the ruins of Dunluce Castle hanging over the Atlantic. It's a landscape that doesn't do anything quietly.
I make the long drive north from Cork several times a year, usually chasing a forecast that promises interesting light along those headlands. The geology alone is worth the trip. Whiterocks Beach in winter storm light is as dramatic as anywhere I've photographed, and the Dark Hedges at dawn, without another soul around, is something genuinely special!
This collection covers the north coast from Fair Head to Dunluce, from the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge to the Causeway itself. Wild basalt, white limestone, and Atlantic weather doing what it does best. I hope these images capture something of what keeps pulling me back.
