Not every morning on the coast demands drama. Some of the photographs I'm most drawn to were made on days when the light was soft, the air barely moved, and the water settled into something close to glass. Lough Hyne at dawn. Barley Lake without a breath of wind. These are the quiet counterparts to the storm images, and I find them just as compelling.

This collection gathers those still, meditative moments. They're photographs that ask very little of you except a pause. I hope they bring some calm into whatever room they end up in!
