In Ireland, we don't normally get snowy winters - if there is a fall, it usually melts within the day. These last two years (2009 and 2010) have seen an unusually high snowfall coupled with unusually low temperatures which allow it to stick around for a while.
While many around the country curse after a few days of snow, I love it. Despite the inconvenience, what it does to the landscape is truly wonderful. On this morning, just about two weeks after the birth of my son, I was able to sneak away for a dawn shoot after the second major snowfall of the year (the first being around the time Liam was born - so no photography for me then!).
This was a fine morning - almost too fine for photography. The cloud on the left of this image vanished entirely shortly afterwards leaving clear blue skies and rather flat light. Here I've used the shadow of the mountain behind me to create some interesting geometric divisions in the image, and the wonderful dawn light turns the snow a vibrant orange-yellow.

We produce all our prints to order, so you can be sure you're getting the best quality work to hang on your wall. As a result, in busy times it can take a while to process the orders. In the worst case, which is generally during the peak months of July-September, it can take 4-6 weeks to receive large framed prints. Large canvases generally take 2-3 weeks. Unframed prints are generally also 2-3 weeks at worst.

We aim to get prints out as quickly as possible, so we would expect and hope that you would receive them earlier than the above timeframes. If you have a particular need to get a print quickly, please let us know in the order notes and we'll prioritize it for you, or you can email us at info@petercox.ie.

Prints are well-packaged and in the unlikely event that it arrives damaged, we'll send a replacement free of charge.

I saw this print in his gallery in 2014 never forgot about it. I decided to order a “ready to hang” print and am so happy I did!
It arrived quickly with no damage because it was wrapped so carefully! It’s stunning and I never get tired of looking at it. It brings me back to Ireland every time I see it . The only problem with his gallery is that there are so many gorgeous prints that it’s hard to pick just one. Highly recommend his work and his care of his customers!

Peter Cox is an amazing photographer,conscientious business man and a fine person. Our 60x20 Skelligs Sunset arrived in Oregon,expertly packed, and is hanging in our coast home.
