For a living room or above a sofa, Feature or Showcase sizes give the best impact. Unframed prints are perfect if you'd like to choose your own frame.

It's rare enough in Ireland to see the sun all the way down to the horizon. There's nearly always a bank of cloud sitting out there, waiting to swallow it ten minutes early. This evening on Dunmore Head, the atmosphere cooperated.

I'd been working my way along the clifftop looking for a composition that made sense of the scale. The Blaskets were laid out across the horizon, Great Blasket taking up most of the view, the smaller islands scattered either side. The Atlantic was about as calm as I've ever seen it out there. Barely a ripple. And the light was already deep gold, maybe fifteen minutes from setting.

What stopped me at this spot was a zigzag of rock and grassy headland that pulls your eye through the frame, from the dark cliff face at bottom left, up to the right, then back out toward the islands and across to where the sun was dropping. That kind of natural leading line is something you can spend hours searching for. This evening it just presented itself.

Dunmore Head is the most westerly point of mainland Ireland. Nothing between you and Newfoundland except those islands. I've photographed the Blaskets from dozens of angles over the years, but this was one of those occasions where everything lined up. The light, the calm, the composition. I was fortunate to be in the right place for it!

We produce all our prints to order, so you can be sure you're getting the best quality work to hang on your wall. As a result, in busy times it can take a while to process the orders. In the worst case, which is generally during the peak months of July-September, it can take 4-6 weeks to receive large framed prints. Large canvases generally take 2-3 weeks. Unframed prints are generally also 2-3 weeks at worst.

We aim to get prints out as quickly as possible, so we would expect and hope that you would receive them earlier than the above timeframes. If you have a particular need to get a print quickly, please let us know in the order notes and we'll prioritize it for you, or you can email us at info@petercox.ie.

Prints are well-packaged and in the unlikely event that it arrives damaged, we'll send a replacement free of charge.

When your order ships, you'll receive an email with your tracking number.

Thanks for your trust, and we hope you get many years of enjoyment from your new print!

Saw this 7 years ago in Killarney in the gallery and should have bought it then. Bought it online this spring, and arrived quickly, with great communication! Has been framed, hung, and is being enjoyed! Even the framer said it was an AMAZING photograph!

This picture is magnificent in that it captures the essence of the Little Skellig Island. Every time I look at it over my sofa, I remember feeling grateful for traveling to Ireland and experiencing the way your photography mesmerized me.

I ordered Peter Cox's stunning photo of Small Skellig which now sits in my main foyer at home. I get as much enjoyment from looking at it every time I come home as I do explaining its origins to guests who remark and ask about it when they arrive!
