💡 Peter's tip:

For a living room or above a sofa, Feature or Showcase sizes give the best impact. Unframed prints are perfect if you'd like to choose your own frame.

I'd driven past this tree for years. It sits in a rocky outcrop near Lough Brin, bent so far sideways that every branch reaches east, like it gave up arguing with the Atlantic a long time ago. Stripped bare on the windward side, gnarled and stubborn on the other. I always meant to stop.

The day I finally did, my friend John Barkley was in the passenger seat with an infrared camera on the back seat. I asked could I borrow it. He said yes, which was trusting of him given my track record with other people's gear. Infrared renders foliage almost white and pushes sky tones very dark. I'd been wondering for a while what that tree would look like under those conditions.

The composition was fiddly. Those long branches needed to sit clear of the mountain ridge behind, and a couple of steps in either direction lost them completely against the hillside. So I'm shuffling around on wet ground, trying not to drop John's camera, while the light keeps breaking apart and pulling back. Not my most dignified afternoon!

Worth it, though. The twisted trunk has a wonderful graphic weight in monochrome, and the bright foliage against that dark Kerry sky gives the whole image a quality I couldn't have got any other way.

We produce all our prints to order, so you can be sure you're getting the best quality work to hang on your wall. As a result, in busy times it can take a while to process the orders. In the worst case, which is generally during the peak months of July-September, it can take 4-6 weeks to receive large framed prints. Large canvases generally take 2-3 weeks. Unframed prints are generally also 2-3 weeks at worst.

We aim to get prints out as quickly as possible, so we would expect and hope that you would receive them earlier than the above timeframes. If you have a particular need to get a print quickly, please let us know in the order notes and we'll prioritize it for you, or you can email us at info@petercox.ie.

Prints are well-packaged and in the unlikely event that it arrives damaged, we'll send a replacement free of charge.

When your order ships, you'll receive an email with your tracking number.

Thanks for your trust, and we hope you get many years of enjoyment from your new print!

Saw this 7 years ago in Killarney in the gallery and should have bought it then. Bought it online this spring, and arrived quickly, with great communication! Has been framed, hung, and is being enjoyed! Even the framer said it was an AMAZING photograph!

This picture is magnificent in that it captures the essence of the Little Skellig Island. Every time I look at it over my sofa, I remember feeling grateful for traveling to Ireland and experiencing the way your photography mesmerized me.

I ordered Peter Cox's stunning photo of Small Skellig which now sits in my main foyer at home. I get as much enjoyment from looking at it every time I come home as I do explaining its origins to guests who remark and ask about it when they arrive!
