Iceland
Iceland pulled me in from my very first visit, and it hasn't let go since. The landscape there operates on a scale that's difficult to process. Black sand stretching to the horizon at Reynisfjara, the creak and groan of Vatnajökull's glaciers, icebergs catching the low Arctic light as they drift through Jökulsárlón. Every trip from Cork has delivered something completely different.
The weather is relentless and wonderful in equal measure. I've stood at Goðafoss in driving snow and photographed Vestrahorn under skies so clear the mountain looked painted onto the stillness of the lagoon. Seljalandsfoss in soft rain has its own quiet magic. You learn quickly that conditions change by the hour, and that's precisely what makes the place so rewarding.
This collection represents multiple journeys across all seasons. Each return trip reveals something I missed before, and I suspect it always will!
