Canvas Prints of Ireland

I've been offering my photographs on canvas for years, and plenty of people prefer it. There's a warmth to it that a print behind glass doesn't have. No glass means no reflections and no glare from a window catching the frame at the wrong angle, just the image. Every photograph on this page links to its print.

How these prints are made

Each canvas print is made to order, printed with long-life inks that won't fade in normal hanging conditions, then stretched over solid wooden bars. Every canvas is checked against my specifications before it ships, and if something isn't right, it gets reprinted.

The wrapped edge up close. The sides carry a mirrored extension of the image, so the full photograph stays on the front.

The sides of the canvas are covered too, in a particular way. The full photograph sits on the front face, with nothing folded away around the corner. What wraps around the sides is a mirrored extension of the edges of the image, so the canvas looks finished from every angle and you don't need a frame. You can see it in the corner photograph here. Hang it straight on the wall and you're done.

Canvas on the wall

Every photograph in the collection is available on canvas. The texture has a slight grain that becomes part of the image, softer than paper under glass. Canvas is also much lighter than a framed print behind glass, which makes it easy to hang and means it doesn't need heavy-duty wall fixings, even at the larger sizes.
