Long Exposure

Long exposure photography has been a fascination of mine for years now. There's a particular thrill in opening the shutter and letting minutes pass, watching the world move while the camera stays still. The Atlantic coast rewards this kind of patience. Waves dissolve into mist around sea stacks, storm clouds drag across Fastnet like smoke, and harbours go glassy and quiet.

The results feel closer to memory than to a photograph, which is what I love about them! Time becomes visible. These images from Kerry, West Cork and beyond are some of my favourite work.
