💡 Peter's tip:

For a living room or above a sofa, Feature or Showcase sizes give the best impact. Unframed prints are perfect if you'd like to choose your own frame.

Koltur sits alone in the strait between Vágar and Streymoy, a volcanic cone rising sharply from teal-green water. That colour caught me off guard. Not the heavy grey Atlantic I'd braced for, but something vivid and clear, even under full cloud cover. I used a long exposure to stretch the fast-moving cloud into those streaks across the upper sky, which gave the whole scene a sense of movement against the stillness of the island below.

The low rocky shelf extending to the left gives a sense of scale that the peak alone doesn't. Nobody has lived on Koltur permanently since the 1960s, and from where I was standing on Vágar, the wind was strong enough that I had to brace the tripod with both hands between frames! The soft, diffused light that afternoon kept the tones even across the cliffs and water, which suited the subject well. Koltur's shape is so distinctive it doesn't need dramatic sun to hold your attention.

We produce all our prints to order, so you can be sure you're getting the best quality work to hang on your wall. As a result, in busy times it can take a while to process the orders. In the worst case, which is generally during the peak months of July-September, it can take 4-6 weeks to receive large framed prints. Large canvases generally take 2-3 weeks. Unframed prints are generally also 2-3 weeks at worst.

We aim to get prints out as quickly as possible, so we would expect and hope that you would receive them earlier than the above timeframes. If you have a particular need to get a print quickly, please let us know in the order notes and we'll prioritize it for you, or you can email us at info@petercox.ie.

Prints are well-packaged and in the unlikely event that it arrives damaged, we'll send a replacement free of charge.

When your order ships, you'll receive an email with your tracking number.

Thanks for your trust, and we hope you get many years of enjoyment from your new print!

Saw this 7 years ago in Killarney in the gallery and should have bought it then. Bought it online this spring, and arrived quickly, with great communication! Has been framed, hung, and is being enjoyed! Even the framer said it was an AMAZING photograph!

This picture is magnificent in that it captures the essence of the Little Skellig Island. Every time I look at it over my sofa, I remember feeling grateful for traveling to Ireland and experiencing the way your photography mesmerized me.

I ordered Peter Cox's stunning photo of Small Skellig which now sits in my main foyer at home. I get as much enjoyment from looking at it every time I come home as I do explaining its origins to guests who remark and ask about it when they arrive!
