Letters from the Landscape
Doo Lough sits dark and still at the valley floor, hemmed in by steep ground on both sides. It's a place with a difficult history and a weight you can feel when you stand there. The bogland surrounding it was saturated, all deep ochre and brown, which only made those bursts of green on the mountainsides more vivid.
I waited through several cycles of light and shadow before this particular moment came together. The directional, low-angled light gives the whole scene its depth and drama!

Yes. A framed size is the whole frame, edge to edge: 3 inches bigger each way than the print inside it. An unframed size is the sheet of paper, including the white border where I sign and title each print by hand. Canvas and Floating Panel sizes are the face of the piece.
