For a living room or above a sofa, Feature or Showcase sizes give the best impact. Unframed prints are perfect if you'd like to choose your own frame.

In 1393, the Atlantic separated this stack from the mainland. You can still see traces of buildings on its summit. Nobody has stood up there in centuries.

Dún Briste translates as "the broken fort," and from the cliffs at Downpatrick Head the name makes immediate sense. This massive column of layered sedimentary rock rises fifty metres from the ocean, its top flat and green, as if someone lifted a small field and set it on a pillar of stone. It looks like it belongs to the land, but the sea has long since claimed it.

I made this as a panoramic long exposure on a heavy, overcast day. No drama in the sky at all. But that flat, diffuse light was exactly what I wanted. It held the rock texture in even tone and let me concentrate on the water. A strong Atlantic swell was wrapping around the base of the stack, and the extended exposure turned those colliding currents into flowing lines and trails. Almost like a map of the ocean's movement around the rock.

The cliffs here are completely exposed, and a windy day adds a certain focus to the proceedings! Somewhere between too short and too long, the water retains its energy while revealing its structure. That was the photograph I was after.

We produce all our prints to order, so you can be sure you're getting the best quality work to hang on your wall. As a result, in busy times it can take a while to process the orders. In the worst case, which is generally during the peak months of July-September, it can take 4-6 weeks to receive large framed prints. Large canvases generally take 2-3 weeks. Unframed prints are generally also 2-3 weeks at worst.

We aim to get prints out as quickly as possible, so we would expect and hope that you would receive them earlier than the above timeframes. If you have a particular need to get a print quickly, please let us know in the order notes and we'll prioritize it for you, or you can email us at info@petercox.ie.

Prints are well-packaged and in the unlikely event that it arrives damaged, we'll send a replacement free of charge.

When your order ships, you'll receive an email with your tracking number.

Thanks for your trust, and we hope you get many years of enjoyment from your new print!

Saw this 7 years ago in Killarney in the gallery and should have bought it then. Bought it online this spring, and arrived quickly, with great communication! Has been framed, hung, and is being enjoyed! Even the framer said it was an AMAZING photograph!

This picture is magnificent in that it captures the essence of the Little Skellig Island. Every time I look at it over my sofa, I remember feeling grateful for traveling to Ireland and experiencing the way your photography mesmerized me.

I ordered Peter Cox's stunning photo of Small Skellig which now sits in my main foyer at home. I get as much enjoyment from looking at it every time I come home as I do explaining its origins to guests who remark and ask about it when they arrive!
